"I have to leave, Mom", It was hard to say those words. I loved my mom, and the last thing I would want to do was to leave and travel across the country, but there was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. It was like the stars had aligned for me, except for the fact of leaving my family and mother for a long time. I knew I couldn't tell her how long I was going to be gone, but I had to try to convince her one way or another. This was my chance to drive my passion for cars to another level. She didn't like me racing cars, she was so scared about crashes and malfunctions, but I had been dreaming about this for my entire life.
"What do you mean leave?", Mom said in worry
"Mom, I got an opportunity for work there, I have- I need to take it, please. I rather have you agree with me than leaving you angry at me.", I plead to my mom, leaving out everything that involved driving and racing for a living.
