Gathering

Of all of the times for them to argue it's now, during our Thanksgiving Dinner. I honestly can't believe them, fighting over the smallest of things. I was planning to tell everyone here today, it was the best timing, to tell everyone, together, and in person. 

"Are you being serious right now, you cannot be",  John said to George

"Yea, Yea I am, why does it even matter to you", George yelled back

All of this arguing over betting against each other's team for Thanksgiving. Oh god, I wish Uncle Phil never brought it up, John and George have always been like this, they were always competing against each other ever since we were little kids. Like we are cousins, family, the same blood, but somehow they always have to compete over something every time. 

"TOUCHDOWN, LETS GOOO", John said, mocking George, who was clearly annoyed by John's shenanigans.

"Shut up man, getting excited over nothing", George said with annoyance. 

I mean not even my mom could calm the two down, in fact, it was more of a show for the rest of our family that the two were arguing each other. I didn't even know if I was still able to make my announcement to the family, maybe I shouldn't even tell them, but this was the best place to do it, only mom knew what I had to say. I just had to man up and tell everyone, even if it was out of my comfort zone, I knew that I need to tell everyone and that I wanted to.  I did my best to catch everyone's attention, and man was it hard, but I was able to get both John and George's eyes off that TV.

"Everyone, I wanted to say that..., I got accepted by the U of M, I'm going to be there in the spring."
